Educated by Tara Westover:BOOK REVIEW
'There were wonderful suppositions embedded in this method reading: books are not tricks, and that i was not feeble.'
Tara westover, a woman ready to understand the world and the life from which she grew up with fear and worry about nothing than the end of the world. Born to a family living with worries, waiting on the days of Abomination. It's a really great read, as she starts to understand a different life from she was used to. The reader is given a first hand experience and able to appreciate that sometimes, there comes a time when a choice has to be made, one that involves choosing the family that you are used to or yourself and the realisation of what it means to be true to oneself.
As we continue learning and realise that things aren't what we thought; that it was probably tending to be ignorant or just controlled by fear. Women versus men is another part of battles we face.
The book showed that as we grow and venture into adulthood it's that there is a real need for us to understand who we are and who we aren't.
'We are all of us more complicated than the role we are assigned in the stories other people tell.'
I love the reality of being able to recall our lives; being alive to understand what we experienced and learned. This book is about the recollections of the different lives people live. While other simply live a life of denial and never allow themself to deal with reality.
A book worth a read and enjoyment.
