The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas:BOOK REVIEW
Something about this book intrigued and awoke emotion clearly felt but not
understood. I read it and was into it, the way she wrote and explained
everything it was as if she was telling a friend the story of her life.
The
words she used and the way in which she arranged them in order to bring forth
the normal type of conversation we have with each other, it wasn't some over the
top reading but it felt like a conversation and this is a read to relate to.
Gripping my seat at all times for the next chapter and imagining everything that
was about to unfold.
Loving the way the author kept it simple yet mindful of
every emotion that is felt and bring forth the pictures of it all. I truly saw
myself in her, the hiding and the fear that we all go through. The pain that
sometimes feels unrelatable, people think they sense and understand you. We all
have something to hide about ourselves whether it be our accent, where we come
from or who we really are; all of us carry "a people pleasing syndrome". If you
say that you don't, it's a lie and too big to admit.
The Hate U Give is a must
read for young black girls and any race, it teaches us about what other people
perception without clear cut knowledge's simply can destroy, ask and it will be
answered, seeks and you shall find and knock on the door it shall be opened.
Don't make assumptions but rather get the truth.
Although it's hard not to be
ready for any actions but never assume the worst but make a better observation.
It's a clear cut book all about not making assumptions.A must read indeed♥️
