One if us is lying by Karen M. McManus: BOOK REVIEW

Without hesitation the words worked, filling each scene with sense of action. The characters played vital roles and when reading you could picture every scene thus the writer had used the right words for each character and the scene they were in. The description of each character and their role made sense no one was irrelevant and forgettable. Every scene was met with ' why are you doing this to me' expression as I was so invested in the book and lost in the journeys that I sort out answers that could only be revealed at the end of the book. The theme being mystery and suspense that comes from such books. Not saying too much but also give you something to ponder on what was the reason and what could be the reason. When you come to think about the impact we have on people without being aware of such it's really weird and worrisome, communication is what I took from reading this book. Coming to think about it everything and everyday we take it as it comes without a distinct idea that someone out there is looking at us and might have good a bad reading from us, being we didn't do something kind and thus hatred grew. Something about this book and the way everything is played out, I didn't really suspect the ending to such a mind-blowing discovery. I thought that I understood where she was taking each character, however the main story was just hidden and under no chances was I going to figure this murder or .... out. It's captivating, young and makes one think and become their very own detective in this novel. The four students all could seem to have motive and the deceased did in fact reveal secrets they would have loved hidden forever, but not exactly as the saying goes the truth does set you free. I wouldn't say specifically that all four would have loved the secrets or whatever that was revealed to be out in the open, considering that there was one who couldn't even care of such revelations. We take a look at each students life and the impact the death of a student had on them, not just that fact that this student died in their presence. The truth is that books teach based on facts or results experienced by people, the current status of the youth and each action has a consequence awaiting. There is always motive as this is not just negligence but...Action speaks louder than words the wording goes, however, word clear out those actions.
