The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho: BOOK REVIEW

This time when reading this book I've learnt that we all have a purpose, just realizing it is the tricky and difficult part. The book has great reviews, has been on the market for the longest and to only just find out about it this year really helped me. I only heard of it when watching a YouTuber from South Africa OnaOliphant she raved about the book and what people have said about it, I just had to get my hands on a copy ASAP. That being said as soon as I got my hands on the copy I wasn't really game to go through it, it took me some time, however, when I got to the first chapter I couldn't stop reading actually finished it in three three (3) days. That being the best decision to come, yes I love reading books and getting to talk about them and definitely motivational books that just bring out what is hidden inside us all. I came to realize that somewhere somehow we tend to forget what we really enjoy and what makes one live to their true purpose. The book took me on a journey which we all travel but get lost because of other forms of distractions on our journey that could lead us astray and not where we are meant to be, like any life we will face challenges that make you question is this really what I'm supposed to be doing with my life. There are different people who see their true purpose only at a later stage if only I would save up until this time, but sometimes we may never live out our dream and only wish. There is never a perfect time than now pretty much. When I decided to write a blog about the books I've read, I still face challenges but I really want people, especially young people to be in turn with words. I just read this books and what I've learnt from each book, yes considering that each motivational book is there to teach and reach. I loved how I was worked up and motivated into doing something with my life, how it drew my attention and made me think back to my childhood. What is it that I really wanted to do when I was young, we get so drawn up into thinking that we always wanted to do this but in reality we went according to what people told us we are good at. In as much as that is good but never forget your dream. What intrigued me was that the shepherd had to sell all his livestock in order to realize his vision. When I read that part I had to ponder into why should I lose all my things for something that might not work out, because further into the book there were obvious challenges and one could have given up but there and then there was really nothing to go back to. Once we decide to take that journey we must give it our all and not looking back because that is where hope and faith lies. Do you think that it's easy to get there if you have a backup plan, as much as society teaches us that we much have a backup plan for any mishaps it's really not much of challenge. I get and understand intention of writing such therefore, what the writer wanted to deliver; with your all and not looking back where you come from. Sometimes and in most cases we really don't live out our dreams we live being envious of someone else's life, well that's because they got to realize what they wanted and went for it or also they were blessed to be handed it to them. There will be possibilities to live your fulfilled life and there will be lessons along the way we it's time to realize your dream.
